First, TBI is an opportunity for further biblical instruction. Sunday morning provides and opportunity to preach a specific set of verses, provide the context of whatever book we are studying, and exhort believers and unbelievers to respond to the truth of God’s Word. TBI, is concentrated on the topic at hand to instruct attendees to articulate topics importance, practicality, instruct others, and grow in the knowledge of God’s Word.
Second, TBI is an opportunity for further fellowship. These classes are intended to be small and personal to ask questions and aid each other in the Word of God. Whether the exegetical study of Revelation (starting Sunday at 6 pm), the upcoming Hermenteutics (methodology of interpretation), or the various systematic theology, we learn in a community setting. This enables us to build further relationships and better “bear one another’s burdens.”
Lastly, TBI is an opportunity for further faith. It is no secret that understanding the Word of God strengthens our walk with God. Romans 10:17 reads, “So then, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” We see this further reiterated in the promises of Revelation:
Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near.
Revelation 22:7 “And behold, I am coming soon. Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”
Please join us this Sunday. We will explain the class, overview the book, and present the various views of interpretation and why we take the one we do. The syllabus states the purpose as such:
The student will, from this study of Revelation have a good understanding of God’s plan for the ages, starting with this present age when Christ is building His church. The student will hopefully become better equipped and more highly motivated to endure trials of life and to do the work of ministry no matter the cost, knowing God will bring all things to culmination for His glory and the good of the believer.
